About the Director:
Stephen McGee is a two time Emmy Award winning filmmaker who has lived in Detroit for
9 years. He has shot, edited and produced films for The Kresge Foundation, The New York Times,
World Vision, Solid Works, The Empire State Building, Climate Works, East Meets West, ICCT,
ACLU, AARP, NPR and Team Detroit. He is a photo/video contributor to the New York
Times , Time Mag, CNN, Newsweek, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal.
McGee has traveled to 30 countries to shoot films on social and environmental issues, human
rights and humanitarisn aid.
